Cook Yourself Sexy with Candice Kumai

My best friend from college, Candice Kumai, is releasing her 2nd solo cookbook on October 2! Cook Yourself Sexy is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As the title states, the book is filled with easy, delicious recipes for the hottest most confident you! She has been pouring her heart and soul into this book for months and I know it will be nothing short of amazing. Her previous cookbook, Pretty Delicious, was filled with HEALTHY recipes. Coming from a girl who is not great in the cooking department (I'm learning! slowly), the recipes were not intimidating. The photography, styling and layout were absolutely beautiful. If I know Candice, this one will be just as fabulous, if not more. While you are waiting for your cookbook to come in the mail, check out her online contributions to Men's Health Magazine and Women's Health Magazine. In her columns, Men's Cook For More Sex and Women's Cook Yourself Sexy, you will find plenty of mouth-watering recipes and tips on health, lifestyle, and how to stay fabulous!

Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows

Super easy, fast and convenient for a 4th of July BBQ. Everyone be safe and have a wonderful holiday!

Ingredients:

1 Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips (I used Nestle, white chocolate would also be delish!)

1 Bag Marshmallows

Skewer Sticks

sprinkles (In this case, red & blue)

Mason Jar

First, melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Stir and reheat until you get a smooth consistency. Dip marshmallows about half way into melted chocolate. I used a spoon to smooth out edges. If easier, you can dip marshmallows into chocolate with a skewer. I found it easier to use my hands.

Set dipped marshmallows onto a baking sheet. Top with sprinkles, and put in freezer for 30 minutes to harden chocolate.

After chocolate has hardened, insert skewer sticks into the bare side of marshmallow. Arrange like a bouquet in a Mason Jar.

St. Germain Skinny Margarita

The women in our family love tequila. It could have something to do with our "latina" heritage, love for mexican food, or maybe just our spicy temperaments! Our favorite way to drink tequila is the St. Germain Skinny Margarita. Absolutely no Sweet & Sour mix allowed!! It is light and refreshing, and not too sugary like the original recipe.

Ingredients:
2 limes (for lime juice and garnish)
2 oz of tequila (I prefer Patron Silver)
1 oz St. Germain Liquor
Splash of Club Soda
Sugar for rim garnish

To start, squeeze one whole lime into a bowl and set aside. Use the squeezed lime to wet the rim of your glass. Dip into sugar or salt to coat the rim. I prefer sugar to salt for a little added sweetness. Fill glass with ice, pour 2 oz of Patron Silver Tequila and 1 oz of St. Germain over ice .  Add the squeezed lime juice. Cut the second lime into wedges. I then squeeze about 2 or 3 more wedges into the glass, and place one on the rim for a garnish. Top it of with a splash of Club Soda.
